Questions

Frequently asked questions

What format is the book?

A full-color paperback, 6 × 9 inches, 96 pages, available on Amazon.

Do I need baking experience?

No. The "Before you bake" chapter covers the tools you need, how to stock your pantry and how to measure, and every recipe is written in short, numbered steps.

Are the measurements in cups or grams?

Both. Ingredients are in US cups and spoons with gram weights, and oven temperatures are given in °F and °C.

How long do the jar mixes keep?

Several months in a cool, dry place. Each tag has a "Made on" and "Use by" line so your friends know when to bake.

Are allergens listed?

Yes. Every recipe and tag has a "Contains" line. Most recipes contain wheat, milk and eggs, and a few contain nuts. Always check the labels of the ingredients you buy.

Can I mail the cookies?

Yes. The packing chapter lists which cookies travel well and which are best kept for hand delivery, and shows how to pack a tin for shipping.

Are the gift tags in the book too?

Yes, chapter 7 has all the tags. The free PDF on this page is the same set, sized for US Letter paper, so you can print extra copies.
